Professional Master’s Degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development (Ecology)
This degree has been recognized by Regulation Nº. 1.140 - DOU 10/10/2008 .
IPÊ, Natura and Instituto Arapyaú have joined forces to preserve Brazil’s socio-environmental resources. We are establishing an innovative campus known as ESCAS-Escola Superior de Conservação Ambiental e Sustentabilidade (Faculty for Environmental Conservation and Sustainability).
The Faculty is headquartered in Nazaré Paulista (São Paulo State) and offers a Professional Master’s Degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development (Ecology). The coursework is tailored to professionals from private companies, government, and the third sector.
The professional Master’s is a stricto sensu postgraduate degree approved and recognized by CAPES.
Instituto Arapyaú joined this initiative in 2009; establishing a satellite campus in Serra Grande, Bahia State. In August of 2010, a subsequent class of twelve professionals from Bahia was inaugurated with support from Fibria.
In 2011, we will have two class formats in Nazaré Paulista:
Intensive Course (Regular)
This format involves week-long study, with the first year demanding full-time participation. Students generally reside on-campus in order to complete the required syllabus. Participants are generally recent university graduates or professionals not yet in the job market.
This format comprises four five-week semesters. Intensive coursework during the first academic year consists of two semesters of condensed classes one week per month. These participants are professionals already in the job market and generally unable to participate in full-time study.
